WE ARE BACK! So excited and thrilled to have conversations with the friends who make me better on Instagram live again. We are returning strong with my dear and beautiful friend William Matthews. Join us on Thursday as we have a conversation on friendship, music, spirituality, and whatever else emerges from our time together.
Okay folks, this was a hard one for me — anything to do with immigration and refugee concerns will always hit closest to home. I tried to create and communicate this with as much nuance as possible.
CORRECTION ON SLIDE 2: Meant to say on asterisk that “Hyper- and hypo-arousal do not necessarily mean sexual arousal, but instead refers to state of being activated or triggered, where the person goes outside the window and in crisis mode.” Not arousal per se.
Happy birthday, Claudia Jones! The honorable Jones was a Trinidad-born and Harlem-raised journalist and activist. She was later deported to London due to the political persecution of Communists in the US.
